Resource Classroom Teacher / Special Education Coordinator

• Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of the staff to develop Individual Educational Plans (IEP) through the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process for each student assigned.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, and equipment that reflect accommodations for individual needs of students assigned in the modified course.
• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify curricula as needed and assist students included in general education classes with assignments.
• Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district.

Classroom Teacher (Core EC-6, Special Edu. EC-12, Bilingual)

• Create a classroom environment conductive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social and emotional development of students.
• Implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district’s curriculum program, reflect accommodations for learning style differences, and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present subject matter according to the guidelines and TEKS established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
