I joined United Independent School District in August 2011. I taught two years at the middle school level which gave me an opportunity to teach beyond my course content in areas such as Creative Writing, STAAR Reading 6^th and STAAR Reading 8^th along with Spanish 1 classes. At United South High School I have had the pleasure of teaching Spanish levels 1 through 4 and I am privileged to serve as the Foreign Language Department Chair. I also serve as the sponsor for the Spanish Club and Students Helping Other People (SHOP); the later that hosts our student pantry, La Alacena. 

Prior to working with United Independent School District, I held various positions at Texas A&M International University during the span of 12 years. The later years serving as the director for the Texas Pre-freshman Engineering Program (TexPREP) and as Program Coordinator for Bridge to Success and Children Summer Camps under the direction of Dr. Julio F. Madrigal.  I worked as an Educational Consultant with Cambridge Educational Services to provide PSAT/SAT preparation courses in Laredo serving local high schools.
