ESPAÑOL 1

 This course builds on the students’ knowledge and appreciation of the Spanish language and the diverse cultures found in the over 20 countries whose primary language is Spanish. Students strengthen and expand their abilities to listen, read, write, and speak in Spanish using new vocabulary and grammatical structures.

 

ESPAÑOL 2

SPANISH II  IS PLANNED FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN SPANISH I IN HIGH SCHOOL.  STUDENTS WHO PASS THIS COURSE WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE ONE FULL CREDIT.  MAJOR EMPHASIS IS PLACED IN COVERING THE FIVE C’S: CULTURE, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNITIES, CONNECTIONS, AND COMPARISONS THROUGH THE USE OF SKILLS SUCH AS READING, WRITING, LISTENING, SPECIFIC USE OF GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURES, AMPLE VOCABULARY, AND SPEAKING IN FORMAL AND INFORMAL SPANISH REGISTRY.  IN ADDITION, OTHER OBJECTIVES SUCH AS ORAL AND TIME ASSESSMENTS (FORMAL/INFORMAL WRITING), AND SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS (WITH APPLIED TECHNOLOGY) ARE ALSO INTRODUCED AND EMPHASIZED THROUGH THE COURSE AS NEEDED.
