Dear Parents,

Welcome to Raul Perales Middle School. I am your son’s/daughter’s Special Education Teacher for this school year 2019 – 2020. A new school year presents opportunities for various beginnings, new teachers, and new classes.  My goal for this year is to inspire every student, motivate them to be the best version of themselves, and make sure that my team and fellow co-workers provide every assistance, accommodations, and modifications that your child may need.

Special Education students’ Accommodations and Behavior Modification Plans will be passed out to the teachers (if your child goes out for electives) on the first week of school. I shall monitor Special Education students’ schedules to make sure that all the students’ receive the appropriate accommodations that they will need in order to have a successful school year. This year we will be working on a variety of life skills as well as content area materials. If you have any concerns or questions about the accommodations or IEP’s, please let me know immediately.

In order to achieve that success, it is important that we develop a positive working relationship and maintain open lines of communication.
