Welcome Parents!

I am Ms. Azucena E. Arredondo, and I am delighted to be your child’s Social Studies teacher for this semester. With a decade of experience teaching at United South High School, I am committed to fostering an engaging and challenging learning environment.

My primary goal is to prepare our students for future academic success, including college readiness. I hold high expectations for each student and am dedicated to providing a high-quality education. I believe that effective communication with parents is vital, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns. I am here to collaborate with you to ensure your child’s success and would be pleased to discuss any matters that arise throughout the year.

Our curriculum will focus on World Geography or World History, with an emphasis on both literature and interactive activities to build a strong foundation for future studies in U.S. History. I expect students to be punctual, prepared, and actively engaged in each day’s lessons. Please note that our classroom policies include guidelines for late work, restrictions on cell phone use, and adherence to the dress code and behavior standards. These expectations have been shared with the students, and I stress the importance of meeting deadlines.
